Coast Guard tough guy McLaglen plans to marry his daughter, Lupino, to seaman Woods. Instead, she has her heart set on the rough-and-ready Foster, a fellow her dad violently dislikes. McLaglen has Foster transferred to his command, hoping to knock some sense into him during a tough dynamiting operation. A mishap occurs and McLaglen's intended son-in-law dies, leaving Foster as the one for Lupino. Fast-paced, convincing Coast Guard action.
