An ex-con, on parole and trying to straighten his life out, decides to resume his boxing career when one of his prison enemies escapes and kills his girlfriend.

Too Sweet Gordon (Leon Isaac Kennedy), after boxing his way to freedom in this pic's predecessor, PENITENTIARY, has decided to turn over a new leaf. His new interests are women and roller boogie. But Half Dead (Ernie Hudson) and his pals have other ideas. They kill Too Sweet's girl friend, and, predictably, the ex-con ends up back in prison ready to fight the prison champ. Seeing the success the first picture had, MGM corralled producer-writer-director Fanaka to duplicate his formula. The result exhibits as much imagination as its title.
