Once More, My Darling Reviews

Montgomery starred in and directed this farce in which he plays an actor-lawyer given a special assignment. His job is to romance Blyth in order to figure out where she received the Nazi jewelry she wears. Montgomery is reluctant to take the assignment, which becomes even more intense when he realizes what Blyth is really like--an uninhibited and romantic girl. Within 24 hours the pair elopes to Las Vegas, followed closely behind by a number of concerned parties. Direction is shaky in some parts, but the script is filled with fast and witty dialog. Blyth proves to be able to handle a comic role well, giving her character plenty of life.
