A 2001 production of Ernest Thompson's 1978 play about an aging couple (Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer) who return to their summer home along with their estranged daughter (Glenne Headly) and her boyfriend (Sam Robards). "I've always believed the play was a little bit darker and more disfunctional than it's been interpreted in the past," says writer-director Thompson. "This production isn't a giant valentine. It's a slightly hipper approach." Charlie: Brett Cullen. Billy Ray: Will Rothhaar.
