Diana Nyad was an accomplished swimmer in her youth, but she always had aspirations of becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida, an almost impossible one hundred and ten miles in the open water. By the time she turned sixty, the journey was still nagging at her, so she set out to take a stab at it one more time.
