Night Waitress Reviews

Dull waterfront gangster tale starring Grahame as an innocent gal framed for a bond theft who leaves prison and accepts a job as a waitress in a wharf restaurant owned by Gilbert. She soon finds herself in hot water again when a small-time hood is murdered in the cafe while she is on duty. She doesn't want to reveal what she knows about the killing because she is in love with Jones, whom the victim was going to meet. Jones tells Grahame that he was arranging to haul a load of gold bullion in his charter boat for the dead man. Soon Grahame and Jones find themselves trapped between inquisitive police and an angry bunch of hoodlums, both wanting to get their mitts on the gold. Routine and uneventful. Look quickly for an unbilled Anthony Quinn as a mob hit man out to do in Barry.
