Miss Robin Hood Reviews

Hearne, a meek, neat author of wild adventure novels for girls, is accosted by Rutherford, an eccentric devotee. Rutherford involves Hearne in a scheme to steal a whiskey formula from the distillers who stole it from her ancestors long ago. Once they have the recipe, they are offered partnerships in the distillery and--thanks to Rutherford's assault on the publisher with a swarm of schoolgirls--Hearne gets to keep writing novels for his fans. Michael Balcon was made chairman of the company and Grierson, the founder of the modern documentary movement, was one of the executive producers. Almost all their films were commercial failures, and the company was soon disbanded.
