Mara of the Wilderness Reviews

Alaska serves as the setting for the story of a young girl abandoned in the wilderness after her parents are killed by a bear. She is taken in by wolves, who raise the child to adulthood. Researcher West is caught in a trap, and the girl saves his life. From this point on, West attempts to keep the girl from Marcuse, who wants to sell her to a freak show. West's motivation is to ease the girl back into civilization. Performances are satisfactory; color photography of the Alaskan wilderness is an added benefit.
