A dull comedy about the problems caused when a WW I veteran (Horton) gets his bonus money from the government. He gets married, his aunts try to tell him how he should spend the money, and he finally invests in oil. Con artists show up in his town and swindle everybody who buys their fake petroleum futures. Horton sets up his drill and at the end of the film hits a gusher.
