Railroaded to prison by corrupt sheriff Hodgins, the vassal of Kohler, Sr., who rules Shadow Valley, O'Brien serves his sentence and returns, hoping to clear himself of stigma and to discover his slain father's killers. In a Romeo-Juliet romance, Sutton is the winsome ward of the villainous Kohler, Sr., who wishes her to wed his equally evil son, Kohler, Jr. Hoping to help the hectored heroine escape, O'Brien is captured by the devilish duo and their henchmen, his life being made surety to their demands for her compliance. The honorable O'Brien forces a confession from the chagrined sheriff and all ends well. A well-handled B western.
