King of the Mountain Reviews

Harry Hamlin (of TV's "L.A. Law") stars in this cliched effort as a garage mechanic in his mid-20s who is acclaimed the "King of Mulholland Drive"--a Los Angeles road popular with fast drivers. Hamlin, however, is busy trying to figure out what to do with his life. His buddies include a songwriter (Joseph Bottoms) and a record producer (Richard Cox), and the story follows the three as they zoom through life in LA. Between the stereotypes and endless tire screeching, there isn't much to care about here. Dennis Hopper makes a cameo as Hamlin's coworker, the burned-out former "king."
