The facile plot in this one is just an excuse to allow some swing bands a chance to play. Miller stars as a country girl who comes out on top in a dance contest and wins a round-trip ticket to Hollywood. She goes there seeking fame and fortune and finds herself in love with screenwriter Barker. After rolling through a number of swing tunes, Miller nearly destroys Barker's career through the usual set of contrived misunderstandings; but it really doesn't matter because it's the music that counts.
