I'll Take Romance Reviews

The thin plot has diva Moore scheduled to open the Buenos Aires opera season, but instead opting to take a better offer in Paris. Douglas takes off from Argentina and sets his sights on kidnaping the singer. He tries to win her over through his charms and eventually gets his way. Selections from various operas are included, such as "La Traviata" (Verdi), "Madame Butterfly" (Puccini), and "Manon" (Massenet). Also included is the title tune by Oscar Hammerstein II and Ben Oakland, and "A Frangesa" (Milton Drake, Marie Costa). On the lighter side, the tune "She'll Be Comin' Around the Mountain" also finds its way into the plot.
