Hammer the Toff Reviews

Routine detective yarn in which the suave sleuth Bentley puts his wits to use in assisting Dainton in solving the murder of her uncle. The man originally accused later turns out to be innocent--news that is greeted with enthusiasm as he is a Robin Hood-type thief loved by the poor. This film (based on a novel by John Creasey) could have been better had the director brought even a little creativity to his handling of it.
