Girls Just Want to Have Fun Reviews

A cheap attempt to capitalize on the success of Cyndi Lauper's hit record of the same name, GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN details the earth-shaking story of high school girls Parker and Hunt, who just want to appear on "Dance Television." They encounter difficulties along the way, especially in the person of spoiled rich girl Gagnier, who has her father try to buy her way onto the show. The plot is mindless and only an excuse for lots of music video-styled dance sequences. Cyndi Lauper wisely refused to allow her version of the song to be used on the soundtrack, so a mediocre cover version is forced to serve.
