A strange murder mystery that has the murderer revealed at the beginning of the film. The title refers to girls in a reformatory behind barbed wire. Clark plays a detective who helps Arline, the sister-in-law of a crook, Byron, get him behind bars. Judge is fired from her teaching job because her sister is married to Byron. Suddenly unemployed, she takes a job teaching the dangerous girls in the reformatory and there gets enough evidence on Byron (due to his illegal dealings with the corrupt superintendent of the institution) to convict him.
