Gidget Goes to Rome Reviews

The last of three films that started with GIDGET (1959), and it seems the further Gidget wanders away from the West Coast, the worse the films become. This one has Darren returning to the role of Moondoogie for the third time and trying out his charms on yet another Gidget--Cindy Carol. The teen twosome are now "steadies" on vacation in Rome. Both allow their love to wander, leading to minor affairs. Needless to say, they are reunited at the finale. Songs include "Gegetta," "Big Italian Moon" (George David Weiss, Al Kasha, sung by James Darren).
