Twelve survivors of a crash in the Amazon jungle come to realize that once their plane can be repaired it will not be able to fly with all dozen aboard. Directed by John Farrow, who also made the 1956 remake "Back From Eternity."

A clipper plane crashes in a South American jungle with 12 passengers on board. The pilot and copilot struggle to repair the plane as conflicts between passengers flare up. They also have a tribe of headhunters to worry about. When the plane is fixed, only five can go back; the rest must stay and face the unfriendly natives. Remade as BACK FROM ETERNITY in 1956 by the same director.
