Disturbing political drama is a re-envisioning of the "Euripides" tale of a determined princess (Mari Torocsik) seeking revenge for the murder of her father, the king, and the exile of her brother (Gyorgy Cserhalmi). Joszsef Madaras costars as the new ruler. Directed by Hungarian new-wave pioneer Miklos Jancso, the film was nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival.
