A girl with stars in her eyes ignores her disapproving grandfather to chase her dream of becoming an actress. When she's finally cast in her big break on Broadway, the show flops.

A stage-struck Vermont girl wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a great stage star, but her first appearance on the Great White Way turns into a giant fiasco. All is not lost, however, when love enters the picture, quenching the thirst for fame. Good performances and good comedy save a weak story that takes much of its impetus from MORNING GLORY.
