During the 1940s and '50s, controversial Czech healer Jan Mikolášek was said to have a special healing touch. Using his intuition as the basis for his methods, he utilizes his knowledge of plants that could be used as herbal medicine, catapulting him to mainstream attention. Soon, public figures come to him for treatment. But as his fame grows, he also faces challenges and detractors, especially from bigger political forces.
