Whodunit set on a San Francisco-bound train involving an escaped con, a star reporter (Ben Lyon) and murders. Barbara Weeks, Nat Pendleton. Directed by Ben Stoloff. Also known as "Murder Express."

A killer escapes from the police and goes after the man who turned him in. He follows him on to a train going from Los Angeles to San Francisco. During the course of the trip the informer is murdered and an uninvolved man becomes intent on capturing the ruthless killer. Low-budget crime drama is handled with a great amount of visual flair, giving an amazing intensity to the familiar plotting.
