Boy Trouble Reviews

Insipid melodrama starring Ruggles and Boland as a childless couple who have become sedate and set in their ways. Ruggles is a quiet man who enjoys his daily routine and becomes upset when minor changes occur. Boland, thinking her husband is unhappy due to their childless state, adopts two young boys. Upon his return from the department store where he works, Ruggles is shocked to find his home invaded by the urchins. He tells his wife to get the children out and will show no affection to them. The orphanage takes one of the boys back and the other runs off when it becomes clear to him that he is not wanted. The situation becomes even more melodramatic when Ruggles loses his job, separates from his wife, and then the younger boy comes down with a serious illness that finally cracks the old man's veneer, bringing the family back together.
