Assault Force Reviews

Roger Moore trades his license to kill for a wet suit as the oddly named title character in this entertaining if hardly captivating British effort, adapted by Jack Davies from his own novel. Super frogman ffolkes (Moore) knocks heads with the evil Kramer (Perkins, playing yet another nut case), who threatens to destroy an oil rig if his ransom demands aren't met. Mason, always welcome if somewhat wasted, plays the stuffy admiral who helps prepare ffolkes for his mission. A little stingy in the action and thrills department, but Moore, in his limited way, seems to be having a good time.
