In 1957, Vito Genovese, the patriarch of one of the most notorious Italian American crime families in the mid-twentieth century, attempts to murder his rival Frank Costello despite Costello's earlier retirement from the mob life. What follows is a game of cat and mouse as the two rivals attempt to assert their dominance over one another.
