A Town Called Hell Reviews

Some of the cast, Stevens and Savalas in particular, probably hoped this film would never be released. Crudely made and poorly acted, this film philosophizes too much amid it's incessant gunfire. Shaw is a priest, once a revolutionary, who now sleeps with a woman and tries to gain insight into life. He lives in the town run by a ruthless Mexican bandit who stops at nothing to get what he wants. Stevens shows up in a hearse and declares that it is for her husband's killer (whose identity will come as no surprise). Despite the obvious inspiration, this falls far short of Sergio Leone's standards.
