In honor of Hulu's Veronica Mars revival starring Kristen Bell as the titular sleuth, we're looking back on the biggest names to ever appear on the show.

Most were guest stars (Adam Scott) while a few had recurring roles (Amanda Seyfried). Some were already established stars (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) while others were destined for Marvel-level fame (Tessa Thompson).

Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried played Lilly Kane, Veronica's dead BFF whose murder changed Veronica's life forever.

Before Breaking Bad, Aaron Paul made a brief appearance in a Season 1 episode of Veronica Mars as a murder suspect nicknamed the Worm.

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was also a gossip on Veronica Mars. She appeared in two episodes as Carrie Bishop, an 09er known for spreading rumors and the student with whom Mr. Rooks was accused of sleeping. Meester was later replaced by actress Andrea Estella in the film, which focused on the mystery of who killed Carrie.

Avengers and Creed star Tessa Thompson played Neptune High student Jackie Cook, daughter of Neptune Sharks baseball legend Terrence Cook, in a dozen episodes in Season 2 of the series. She dated Wallace before she had to return to New York City to take care of her 2-year-old son.

How I Met Your Mother and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Alyson Hannigan has three episodes of Veronica Mars under her belt as Logan's sister, Trina Echolls.

Armie Hammer is known for his work in The Social Networkand Call Me by Your Name, but do you remember his role in Veronica Mars Season 3? Hammer portrayed a football player, Kurt Fenstermacher, who needed help retrieving his stolen playbook.
