The six-month preparations include selecting a menu, arranging seating and picking artwork for an exhibition in the Crimson Drawing Room. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II are seen, and guests are treated to a performance of "Les Miserables" in the Waterloo Chamber.

Part 2. Seasonal events at Windsor Castle take center stage, including a light-cavalry parade at Great Park and the Easter service at St. George's Chapel. "In our early years, the whole of the year was dominated by school holidays," says Prince Philip. "We came here for the Easter holiday, and we still do." Other events include Garter Day, highlighted by a velvet-rope procession; and the Royal Ascot horse race on the castle grounds. Sir Edmund Hillary and Lord Carrington are featured.
