3 Episodes 2016 - 2016
The fourth and final season of the moody mystery series finds the oft-morose Swedish police detective Kurt Wallander (Kenneth Branagh) facing his biggest fear—that he's following his father's proverbial footsteps into dementia—while tackling a trio of intricate cases. It's in the first episode, "The White Lines," that he begins to suspect that something is wrong; while searching for a missing Swedish woman in South Africa, he experiences dizzy spells and blackouts. In "A Lesson in Love," the second episode, his zealousness to find the missing daughter of a murder victim leads him to overlook something important. He also bonds with daughter Linda's father-in-law, a former Swedish naval officer; and, worried about his deteriorating mental state, sees a doctor. The final episode, "The Troubled Man," finds him determined to find Linda's father-in-law, who's gone missing, despite being officially off-duty due to his ongoing memory issues.
