Jason has a surprise planned for Angelica while they're on a romantic spa date. The moment is ruined by Sunhe showing up unannounced by tracking Angelica's phone. Kathy offers to have Cristina, Carlo and the kids move in with her down the street while their house undergoes a remodel. Kathy and Cristina decide the best way to convince Carlo is by ambushing him at the gym. Mary and her daughter, Brittani, do everything together, including shower time. The only thing that comes between their relationship is Mary's husband, Frank, who's betrayal of Mary is a big secret from Brittani. Marcia adopted Alena when she was 3-years old and the two forged an unbreakable bond, but now that Alena is 21, both mother and daughter are struggling to let go of one another.

Sunhe's suspicions are right when Jason's soon to be ex-wife makes some shocking revelations.

Jared stays out of the way but worries they will wait too late to go to the hospital. Laurie and Sarah's roles as mother and daughter switched when Sarah became Laurie's primary caretaker. Instead of focusing on her health, Laurie's main concerns are making sure her daughter has her dream wedding and grandchildren before it's too late. Mary and Brittani set up for Brittani's graduation party. Brittani breaks down because she's worried about getting her heart broken.

Brittani's crush doesn't show up to her graduation party, but quickly forgets all about it when Mary gives her a shocking gift. It's date night plus mom for Sarah and Miguel. Laurie takes the opportunity to drill Miguel about proposing to Sarah.
