Season 7 picks up where the sixth season ended with bad things happening at the Reeves dam. Lex's secret laboratory complex is destroyed, and Clark's Bizarro doppelganger is unleashed. The dam bursts, and Smallville is on the verge of being swept away in the floodwaters unless Clark (Tom Welling) can overcome a being that's even stronger than he is. Soon afterward, Clark meets his cousin Kara (Laura Vandervoort) and teaches her how to control her powers in public. But Jor-El (Terence Stamp) tells him Kara's father is evil and that she is not to be trusted. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) obtains some of Clark's powers and uses them to fight Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), but Brainiac (James Marsters) attacks her, which puts Clark back on the villain's path. Elsewhere, Green Arrow and Black Canary join forces; and Clark battles Jack the Ripper (Dean Cain).
