Season 3 of the popular superhero series finds Clark Kent (Tom Welling), under the evil influence of red kryptonite, living in Metropolis and getting involved with crime boss Morgan Edge (Rutger Hauer). Meanwhile, Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) becomes stranded on a desert island after his plane crashes there. Future Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White (Michael McKean), who's working as a tabloid TV reporter researching meteor phenomena, arrives in Smallville and suspects that Clark has super abilities after he's rescued by the teen. Later, Clark learns that Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is leaving Smallville, so he contemplates telling her about his super powers in an effort to get her to stay.
