The Opéra National de Paris mounted this December 2005 production of Sergei Prokofiev's satirical 1919 opera +L'Amour des trois oranges (The Love for Three Oranges), performed at the Bastille. The cast includes Charles Workman as The Prince, Barry Banks as Trouffaldino, Philippe Rouillon as The King of Trèfle, Jean-Luc Ballestra as Pantalon and Aleksandra Zamojska as Ninette. Gilbert Deflo directs for the stage, William Orlandi designed the sets and costumes, and Marta Ferri did the choreography. The Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra National de Paris add musical accompaniment with Sylvain Cambreling conducting and Peter Burian serving as chorus master.
