From the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, Jason Alexander hosts the 2006 celebration of America's 230th birthday that features a fireworks display, Michael Bolton, Stevie Wonder, Jo Dee Messina, teen R&B-pop singer JoJo, and a patriotric medley by Vanessa Williams and Elmo. The concert also features Erich Kunzel and the National Symphony Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," accompanied by cannon fire from the U.S. Army Presidential Salute Battery.
