Looking for something to binge this weekend but need a break from Christmas movies? There's a perfect mixed bag of brand new premieres this week, which means there is something to suit everyone's taste. First up is the highly anticipated return of the Emmy-award winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. There's also the Netflix premiere of Dumplin' starring America's favorite friend, Jennifer Aniston. And last but not least, there's the return of the J.K. Simmons sci-fi drama Counterpart.

These recommendations come courtesy of TV Guide Senior Editor Krutika Mallikarjuna and are here to help you through your weekend binge. And if you're looking for even more suggestions, head over to TV Guide's Watch This Now!, which has hand-picked recommendations for all the best shows you can start watching immediately.

1. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel returns for Season 2 this weekend, so if you missed the boat on Season 1 now is the time to catch up. A winner of eight Emmys for its first season, the plucky show about a 1950s housewife turned stand-up comedy breakout is doubling down on the things that made it so critically beloved. Rachel Brosnahan shines as Midge, particularly because Season 2 takes her well out of her upper-crust Manhattan comfort zone and pushes her into the international scene. Paris, here we come.

2. Dumplin'

Dumplin' is a Netflix original about a teenager who enters a local beauty pageant that her mom, a local celebrity, is the former winner and host of. Starring the incredible Danielle Macdonald and America's favorite friend, Jennifer Aniston, this movie is a welcome antidote to Netflix's other take on the pageant world, Insatiable. If the troubled-but-touching mother-daughter relationship doesn't get you, the coming-of-age story will.

3. Counterpart

Your double dose of J.K. Simmons returns with even more twists and turns in the second season of Counterpart. Picking up after the inter-dimensional portal that allowed a Howard (Simmons) to cross from another universe into ours was closed, each Howard finds himself trapped in the other's universe. As a cold war brews between the two universes, they must figure out how to survive their counterpart's drastically different worlds.
