1. Roma

Romais being lauded as Alfonso Cuarón most personal, intimate, emotional movie yet. The Oscar winning director of Gravity, Children of Menand Y Tu Mamá También returns with a love letter to Cleo, the maid who raised him, set in the foreground of the immense political strife and upheaval of Mexico City in the '70s. The semi-sutobiographical work of Cuarón might be the first foreign language film to nab a Best Picture Oscar thanks to Netflix sending the movie to a limited theatrical run to make it eligible for the award.

2. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale

Chilling Adventures of Sabrinawas undeniably one of the biggest fall premieres. Such a perfect blend of spooky and sweet, stans were heartbroken that they'd have to wait till April for Season 2. Well cry no more my coven, "A Midwinter's Tale" is the perfect snack to tide you over till then. Picking up where Season 1 left off, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and co. battle the supernatural creepy crawlies that invade the Spellman house after Sabrina tries to contact her mom who is stuck still in limbo.

3. Champaign, Ill

Adam Pally, Sam Richardson; Champaign ILL
YouTube Premium

A wildly acerbic and hilarious send up of the cost of success when you're simply one of the entourage, Champaign, Illfollows two friends rejected from their superstar lifestyle when their big name rapper bff dies in a freak accident. Ronnie (Adam Pally) and Alf (Sam Richardson), who once had musical ambitions of their own before they discovered it was much easier to be OVO crew than Drake himself, move back to their hometown of Champaign while trying to get their lives and creative ambitions back on track. The comedic pedigree of the Pally and Richardson (Happy Endings, and VEEPrespectively) is undeniable, so don't let the fact that this is a Youtube Premium Original keep you from checking it out.
