Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is trying to figure out whether he should re-create the particle accelerator explosion. And he needs some serious advice.

On Tuesday's episode of The Flash, the Scarlet Speedster asks his three dads -- mentor Harry (Tom Cavanagh), adopted father Joe (Jesse L. Martin), and biological father Henry (John Wesley Shipp) -- and you're not going to believe who says what. "Not all of them have the take on it that you'd expect," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells TVGuide.com.

The biggest shocker: Joe sides with Earth-2 Wells. "Once Barry decides to do something, Joe doesn't think that he can be dissuaded. ... That's the Barry that Joe has come to know, love and respect," Kreisberg says. Another shocker: Barry doesn't follow his advice.

(If Barry is gun shy, we understand. After all, he did blow a hole in the universe last season.)
