The Simpsons Honor David Letterman With Couch Gag

Just days after David Letterman announced he's retiring, The Simpsonshonored the late-night host via its latest couch gag. Who should replace Letterman? Our Top 10 list Sunday's episode opened with Homer and his family making their way to the famous Ed Sullivan theatre. As Letterman waited for his guest, he was unimpressed when the family ran up on stage and sat on his couch. "I think we're done here," the animated Letterman says, cueing his band to play the show's theme song.

As Letterman waited for his guest, he was unimpressed when the family ran up on stage and sat on his couch. "I think we're done here," the animated Letterman says, cueing his band to play the show's theme song.

The show then cut to black before "We'll miss you, Dave," appeared on-screen.
