This New Shameless Season 9 Trailer Proves It's Not Easy Being Gay Jesus

Shameless is back for Season 9 on Sept. 9 (9/9, the Herman Cain special), and on Thursday Showtime dropped another new trailer. It's got all that hilariously acidic Gallagher action that'll ruin your liver.

This trailer shows us more of Ian's (Cameron Monaghan) struggles with mental illness than the previous trailer. He's now not only "Gay Jesus," he's also "Gay Che."

"You're not Gay Jesus or Gay Che," says Debbie (Emma Kenney), warm as ever. "You're Bipolar Gallagher who doesn't take his meds."

And Frank (William H. Macy) is still "Father of the Year." Some things never change, even after nine seasons.

Shameless Season 9 premieres Sunday, Sept. 9 at 9/8c on Showtime.
