Shadowhunters: Will Jace End Up Killing Clary?

Coming back from the dead has consequences...

Finding romance in the Shadow World is never easy, but none have had it quite so hard as Clary (Katherine McNamara) and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) on Shadowhunters.

Just when you thought all their obstacles were out of their way, Jonathan's (Will Tudor) ghost (kind of?) shows up to start haunting their relationship. Jace may be keeping a brave face on in front of his friends, but his dreams and even his waking hours are haunted by visions of Jonathan tempting him to attack and kill Clary. It even seeped into their training session, in which Jace accidentally cut Clary with his seraph blade. She thought nothing of it, but Jace knew better. How much of that was a simple training accident and how much was killer instinct?

Keeping Jace's resurrection a secret from The Clave is only going to get harder the more violent symptoms he starts to exhibit, and something tells us this is only the beginning... especially now that Lillith (Anna Hopkins) is in town, and Clary and Jace have targets on their backs.

At least we know Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) and Alec (Matthew Daddario) have a rock solid relationship this year. It's a testament to how far these two have come in so little time that Alec would choose to stay in New York City with Magnus than go off to Idris and advance his status within The Clave. Who would have thought Alec would end up being the hopeless romantic in this duo?

Another slightly more worrying mystery (if that's even possible) is that brand the Seelie Queen (Lola Flannery) put on Simon (Alberto Rosende). It seems like whatever fascination she has with Simon's Daylighter abilities is getting out of hand. He may need Clary's help fending her off sooner rather than later.

Inside the Episode: This week's Shadowhunters: Secrets From the Set dives into Simon's branding scene! Poor Alberto Rosende had to scream himself hoarse trying to make that scene especially creepy. To make things even more bizarre, it turns out the deliciously creepy girl who plays the young Seelie Queen wasn't even there during filming! They actually used a body double most of the time. Now that's some movie magic that could even put the coolest of runes to shame!

Shadowhunters airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Freeform.
