Remember when MTV made a ScreamTV series and then that TV series was scrapped and prepped for a reboot -- and then it was never heard from again? Guess what? It's ba-ack!

In true horror fashion, just when you thought it was dead for good, the series lunged up from the grave with a new network, a new trailer, and an imminent premiere date to boot! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot consists of a six-episode season, set to air on VH1, titled Scream: Resurrection. It will have an accelerated release schedule too, so prepare to binge! The series will premiere Monday, July 8 and run for two hours each night starting at 9/8c. That puts the finale airing on Wednesday, July 10.

The first announcement of the series reboot came in October of 2016, but then it idled in no man's land for years as MTV slowly started to purge itself of scripted programming. Still, the now-VH1 series still managed to snag some big names, including Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, and more. Plus, get this -- Paris Jackson will guest star!

The original Ghostface mask will finally be used, making this the first time the iconic costume from the movie franchise will appear on TV. Scream: Resurrection premieres Monday, July 8 at 9/8c on VH1.
