Paula Deen Severs Ties with Agent of More Than a Decade

Paula Deen has parted ways with Barry Weiner, her agent of 10 years, People reports.

"Paula Deen has separated from her agent," Deen's spokeswoman, Elana Weiss, said. "She and her family thank him for the tireless effort and dedication over the many years."

Deen met Weiner through producer Gordon Elliot when she was just a restaurant owner and self-published cookbook author. Weiner soon helped her get Paula's Home Cooking on the Food Network in 2002.
