Outlander: Jamie Is Beaten and Bloody in First Season 3 Photo

The droughtlander is officially over! (Kind of.)

On Wednesday, Starz announced that production on Outlander's third season had begun.

Along with this news, the network shared a behind-the-scenes look at Jamie (Sam Heughan) following the battle of Culloden. In the photo, Heughan stands stoically as a makeup artist paints on fake blood to make the actor look more bedraggled and beaten down following the near-fatal battle.

When Outlander returns, Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will both attempt to rebuild their lives after she returned to 1948 to raise their child. However, unable to shake their feelings for each other, the couple will eventually struggle to find their way back together. But when they reunite, will they be the same people who fell in love all those years ago?
