Nick Lachey: "Little Truth" to Talk of Getting Back with Jessica Simpson

Newlywed fans have been clamoring for Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, both of whom are now romantically unattached, to one day rekindle their old flame. But according to Lachey, that reunion isn't happening.

"It's fun storytelling, but there's very little truth to any of it," Lachey told People. "I certainly have heard about her breakup [from Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo] and I wish her the best, as I've always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say."

Lachey, who broke up with Vanessa Minnillo not long before Simpson's sudden split from Romo, said he hasn't spoken to his ex-wife in about two years.

How is Lachey fairing after coming out of his own heavy-duty relationship?

"I'm in a good place," he said. "I've learned, through years of not only being in this business, but being in relationships, that you have to take it as it goes. With every experience, you learn something about your life, and you try to take that and move on and be a better person because of it. We'll see what happens."
