Nick Carter's minimal criminal history helped him avoid a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly grabbing a bouncer by the throat in January, according to TMZ.

Florida prosecutors will reportedly dismiss the case in six months in exchange for 25 hours of community service from Carter, in addition to the payment of $298 in court-related fees. During the six-month period, Carter will still be allowed to drink, but not to a point of excess, nor can he commit a criminal offense.

While the bouncer approved the deal, Carter is still facing a civil suit for the incident.
