Question: Do you have any new scoop on Bill Lawrence's version of Fletch? Is Zach Braff going to play him? Answer: Sounds like someone took my cue from this week's podcast. Mr. Lawrence informed me that he has an Oct. 1 deadline to turn in his Fletch screenplay to the Weinstein brothers. And if he has anything to say about it, the Braffster will be succeeding Chevy Chase in the title role. "I'm hopin' so, man. There's no guarantee until he takes the deal, but if I had my way, yeah, he would be the star. He'd be a good Fletch."
