NCIS: Los Angeles Is Officially Giving Us the JAG Reunion We Didn't Know We Needed

Do we smell a JAG reboot in the works?

We're officially in for a JAG reunion on this season of NCIS: Los Angeles!

In addition to David James Elliott reprising his role as Harmon Rabb Jr. this year (in a multi-episode arc to boot!), Deadline reports that he'll be sharing the screen with none other than his former JAG co-star Catherine Bell, who will reprise her role as Major Sarah MacKenzie from Seasons 2-10 of JAG.

In Elliot and Bell's first episode, the NCIS team will try to uncover a network of ISIS sympathizers who seem to be planning an attack on U.S. aircraft carriers, prompting Hetty (Linda Hunt) to call in a favor from an old friend, Lieutenant Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie.

The news that we'll be revisiting Mac and Rabb all these years later is enough to get fans' gears turning about a potential JAG reboot or revival. Could this just be a fun reunion between former co-stars, or is CBS testing the waters to see if there's still an audience for JAG on network TV? Give how easy it is to catch reboot fever these days, we're not ruling out the possibility!

NCIS: Los Angeles airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
