Nashville Mega Buzz: Familiar Faces Will Return for Final Run

As is almost always the case with the final season of a popular TV show, Nashville is getting ready to bring back some characters for a farewell tour in its last batch of episodes.

Most recently, a promo teased the possible return of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) in some sort of dream or hallucination of Deacon's (Charles Esten). The shot was so out of focus that it's impossible to tell if we'll actually see her, but some reassuring words from showrunner Marshall Herskovitz have given us a smidgen of hope that she could be back.

"Let's just say people will be seen again," Herskovitz told TV Guide. "More than that I shouldn't say, but some great, familiar faces will be seen again."

No one's face could be as great as Rayna's, but as we reflect back on the series, there are a couple people we'd like to see return, if only briefly. Teddy Conrad (Eric Close), Daphne's (Maisy Stella) biological dad would be a nice throwback, since he's been in jail since Season 4, but it might also be nice to hear what ever became of Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples) or Zoey Dalton (Chaley Rose)!
