But NBC affiliate KUSA-TV alleges that he underwent surgery for a blood clot after experiencing leg pain on Saturday.... Kiss lead singer Paul Stanley bailed on a weekend performance with his bandmates Friday when, during a sound check, his heart rate leapt to 190-plus beats per minute. Understandable: I mean, 190 bpm is fine for a Donna Summer show, but Kiss? Not so much.
