Ibrahim Ferrer, an original member of the Buena Vista Social Club ensemble of Cuban musicians, died on Saturday at age 78; a cause of death has not been announced. Known for his trademark cap and graying mustache, Ferrer performed on the Grammy-winning Buena Vista Social Club album and appeared in the 1999 film of the same name.
